Live as if you were not going to die tomorrow

I have been told many a time, "Live as if you were going to die tomorrow." But what will you do when you wake up tomorrow and realize you're alive? What will you do when you are stuck in the prison of yesterday and cannot get out? What will you do when you are unable to escape your life? Will you keep cutting yourself if you know death will not come and the scar will remain forever?

I choose to live as if I was not going to die tomorrow and there was no backdoor. I will learn to keep the front door and a couple of windows open in case I need them later on. The backdoor has never worked for me; I always end up losing the key to open it.
